STUDENTS:

No! Employers need you for their internships, part-time and full time jobs, and more!

Research which employers you’d like to connect with before you meet them at the fair. Visiting their profile on Handshake and websites, will help you be more confident and prepared to connect with them. Meet with our career education team to provide next steps.

Virtual or not, first impressions are everything.

We recommend wearing business casual attire. To us, that means clothes you would expect employees to be wearing in a bank or business office. Overall, it is important to make sure that your clothes are clean and in good condition with no rips or stains.

“Questions to Ask Yourself to Dress for Success” is an excellent short video about considering inclusivity as you dress for success. https://career.colostate.edu/resources/dress-for-success/

Not at all! Students of all ages are encouraged to attend. Companies are often looking to hire interns too, and attending as a first-year student is great practice for future career fairs and networking events.

Students will be able to contact employers directly through Handshake. This is the preferred method unless a student and recruiter have agreed to other procedures.

The Career Center has many opportunities throughout the semester for students to practice with.

Have your resume reviewed ahead of time during our daily drop-ins. A current schedule can be found: https://career.colostate.edu/connect-1-on-1/

Students can also schedule a one-on-one session with our Career Education Team managers and specialists to talk about strategies in networking at a career fair. Appointments can be made on Handshake. https://colostate.joinhandshake.com/appointments/new

Registration is not required, but highly encouraged.
