Key Responsibilities:
As a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team, you will:
Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care.
Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Maintain clinical documentation and workflows in the Epic EMR system.
Practice autonomously, managing multiple complex tasks appropriately.
Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited PA program with a Master’s degree in PA Studies (REQUIRED)
NCCPA Certified (REQUIRED) – no exceptions
Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado (REQUIRED)
Must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status (REQUIRED)
Clean malpractice/license history (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA (REQUIRED)
BLS certification (REQUIRED) – no exemptions
Experience: 2+ years in trauma surgery preferred OR completion of a surgical fellowship (HIGHLY PREFERRED)

Annual Salary: $136,822 – $179,379 (based on experience)
